With the goal to finally have an online home that accurately represents her style and attracts more dream clients, Sarah of SMG Beauty Co. came to me looking for web design. She described her ideal client as “a boho bride with a kind spirit”. While brides are her main target audience, Sarah and her team of girls also do hair and makeup for photoshoots and other events. She wanted website viewers to feel at home on her site no matter if they were looking for wedding makeup or a photoshoot.

To replace the downloadable services pdf that SMG Beauty Co. previously had so clients could see pricing, I created a services page with buttons at the top of the page that brings viewers down to the section they’re looking for. So if a bride is looking for bride only or elopement services, they’d be brought down to that specific section on the page.

BEHIND THE DESIGN
Hand-drawn squiggles that are custom to each page add an artistic element to SMG’s branding. These squiggles are paired with a handwritten script font, a muted color palette, and bordered imagery throughout the site to look like polaroid pictures. Brought together, these elements all bring about an overall boho feeling.
